Emmanuel Y. Ansah

A multifaceted designer with ten years of light design experience, Emmanuel received his B.A. (Art) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana and a Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in New York.
First introduced to architectural lighting design by Peter Barna, Principal and owner of Light and Space, he quickly rose to the position of Senior Designer before moving on to join T. Kondos Associates in New York City, where he was further initiated into the intricacies of architectural lighting by Steven Bliss, a seasoned lighting designer with whom he completed a number of projects in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Central/South America and South East Asia.
His interest in other areas of design led him to pursue a diploma course in Yacht Design which he completed in 1992 while working as a lighting designer. This achievement provided an opportunity to work as an instructor in small craft naval architecture at the Westlawn School of Yacht Design in Stamford, Connecticut.
Emmanuel was a lecturer at KNUST from 2005 – 2012, and is currently the CEO of ANSAKO LLC, specializing in Architectural Painting, Lighting Design, Contract/Custom Furniture Design in mixed media.
